Did you know you can bet on the 2024 NBA rebounds leader? The betting odds are out, so it’s time to analyze the favorites and see who could win. In 2022-23, there wasn’t much separation between all the top rebounders in the NBA.

Can Domantas Sabonis go back-to-back as the leader in rebounds? Will Anthony Davis stay healthy enough to claim the rebounding title? Check my analysis and 2024 NBA rebounds leader predictions to find out the most likely answers.

2024 NBA Rebounds Leader Betting Odds

  • Domantas Sabonis; +300
  • Anthony Davis; +300
  • Nikola Jokic; +360
  • Rudy Gobert; +450
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo; +500
  • Steven Adams; +1200

The 2024 NBA rebounding leader betting odds indicate that Sabonis and Davis are co-favorites. Both players were also among the best rebounders last season. Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, who’s never led the NBA in rebounding, is also in the mix.

I used the odds published by BetUS to write this article, and I recommend you to explore the sportsbook. You will find plenty of cool NBA futures for the upcoming season.

2023-24 NBA Rebounding Leader Favorites

I want to focus on the main favorites before I dive into my final prediction for the rebounding leader in 2024. Keep in mind that there are many skilled rebounders in the NBA, so picking the eventual winner won’t be easy.

My analysis will cover the top three favorites: Sabonis, Davis, and Jokic. These players are usually consistent and productive in terms of their rebounding. All three of them also averaged more than 11.0 rebounds per game last season.

Domantas Sabonis

  • Age: 27
  • Team: Sacramento Kings
  • Position: Power Forward
  • 2022-23 Total Rebounds: 973

Domantas Sabonis is the reigning rebounding champion in the NBA. He’s known for positioning himself perfectly on defense and boxing out opponents. In 2022-23, there were five games in which Sabonis had 20 or more rebounds.

The consistency demonstrated by Sabonis is also undeniable. The 27-year-old power forward has averaged at least 12.0 rebounds per game in the past four seasons. He was also an All-Star last season and earned an All-NBA Third Team selection.

Can Sabonis become the rebounding leader in consecutive seasons? It’s happened before, and it can definitely happen again. Since 2012, multiple players have won the rebounding title in back-to-back seasons.

I think Sabonis will easily average over 12.0 rebounds once again. However, I also doubt that he’ll reclaim the rebounding title. The NBA wasn’t productive from a rebounding perspective last season, and more players will challenge Sabonis in 2023-24.

Anthony Davis

  • Age: 30
  • Team: Los Angeles Lakers
  • Position: Power Forward
  • 2022-23 Total Rebounds: 702

Another top contender for the next NBA rebounds leader is Anthony Davis. The eight-time NBA All-Star is an incredibly dynamic and productive player. Davis has also averaged 10.4 rebounds per game for his entire NBA career.

Surprisingly, Davis has never won the rebounding title. In fact, blocks are the only statistical category in which he has led the NBA. Although Davis is known as a talented defender, his offensive skill set is also remarkable.

Injuries are what concern me the most about Davis. The veteran player has missed a significant amount of playing time in recent years. Davis has appeared in 50 or more games just once in the past three seasons.

There’s zero doubt that Davis is an incredibly talented and capable rebounder who could win if he’s fully healthy. However, I don’t feel confident in picking him because of his injury history. Davis also needs to average over 12.0 rebounds per game to win the rebounding title, which will be hard to achieve on restricted minutes.

Nikola Jokic

  • Age: 28
  • Team: Denver Nuggets
  • Position: Center
  • 2022-23 Total Rebounds: 817

The former two-time MVP and reigning NBA champion is also a contender to lead the league in rebounding. Nikola Jokic just had a memorable season in which he led the Nuggets to a title for the first time in franchise history. He also averaged 11.8 rebounds per game in 2022-23.

No other player in the NBA does a better job at filling up the stat sheet than Jokic. He’s one of the most complete players in terms of what he can do at both ends of the court. Jokic is an exceptional passer, and his basketball IQ is also incredibly high.

The Serbian superstar was very close to becoming the NBA rebounding leader in 2021-22. He averaged 13.8 rebounds per game and was runner-up behind Rudy Gobert. Jokic also has four seasons in which he finished with 800 or more total rebounds.

Can Jokic finally win the NBA rebounding title? He already has several impressive accolades in his career. I expect him to put up big numbers again this season and finish among the leaders in rebounding. Even when Jokic loses, his stats are always pretty solid.

Sleepers for the NBA 2024 Rebounds Leader

I also want to bring your attention to a few sleepers who could become the next rebounding leader. The top rebounder in the NBA is often a tight race every year. There were also 12 different players who averaged at least 10.0 rebounds per game in 2022-23.

  • Deandre Ayton (+3000). The Suns traded Ayton to the Blazers during the offseason. Playing for a new team could motivate him to set a career-high in rebounding.
  • Joel Embiid (+1600). The reigning NBA MVP is averaging 11.2 rebounds per game for his entire career. Although his offensive talents are phenomenal, Embiid is also an underrated rebounder.
  • Julius Randle (+4500). Randle is one of the most underrated playmakers on defense in the NBA. He’s also averaged 10.0 or more rebounds per game in two of the three seasons.

2024 NBA Rebounds Leader Prediction and Betting Pick

I’m choosing Nikola Jokic with my final 2024 NBA rebounding leader prediction. The talented center from Serbia is arguably the best player in the entire league. He also just won an NBA championship, so his confidence is sky-high.

Jokic has been in the mix the past two seasons for the rebounding title. It now seems inevitable that he’ll be the rebounding leader at some point in his career. He’ll also challenge Sabonis to defend his rebounding title until the season’s over.

If you add the fairly high odds, this is the best betting pick for the upcoming NBA season.

Odds:
+360

Nikola Jokic
