Will a future Hall of Fame QB make their debut on the show in Season 2? Will the show feature a player who must revive his career in 2023-24? I want to share my analysis along with my Netflix Quarterback Season 2 predictions.

Before I start, let me mention that we have no official confirmation there will be a second season, but that’s highly likely because Netflix rarely features shows for a single season only.

I first want to focus on the main favorites before I dive into my final predictions. The race among NFL QBs to make it on the show is tight. Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota were the players featured in the first season.

Josh Allen’s young career has been nothing short of phenomenal. He’s entering his sixth NFL season, having already won four postseason games. In 2022, Allen set the record for the highest quarterback rating in a single postseason (149.0).

The main criticism against Allen is the question of if and when he’ll win the Super Bowl. He’s a talented QB who can throw and run the ball to win games. However, Allen has fallen short of expectations in the playoffs on multiple occasions.

Is Allen an overrated player? Absolutely not. Winning a Super Bowl isn’t easy – Hall of Fame QB Payton Manning didn’t lift his first Lombardy Trophy until his ninth NFL season. Allen has plenty of critics, but I think he’ll eventually prove them wrong.

Will Allen be featured on Netflix Quarterback Season 2? I think he would be a solid addition to the show. Are there better candidates than Allen? Yes, but he’s also one of the most exciting players to watch in the NFL.

• Team: Miami Dolphins
• Career QB Rating: 95.0

Tua Tagovailoa is also an excellent candidate for Netflix Quarterback Season 2. If you follow the NFL, then you know that Tagovailoa had his ups and downs in 2022-23. He suffered multiple concussions that put his playing career in jeopardy.

Everyone will pay close attention to Tagovailoa this season. His health has become a major concern, and he’s got to find a way to protect himself. When Tagovailoa was on the field in 2022-23, the Dolphins were scoring touchdowns in droves.

I think Tagovailoa could lead Miami to another playoff appearance if he remains healthy. The guy is an absolute gunslinger and has plenty of natural ability. Tagovailoa finished the 2022-23 season with 25 TDs and 3,548 passing yards despite missing four games.

Tagovailoa would be an amazing addition to Netflix Quarterback Season 2 because of his mixed career, injury drama, and explosive style on the pitch.

• Team: Dallas Cowboys
• Career QB Rating: 97.8

Dak Prescott is already entering his eighth NFL season, and there’s plenty of pressure to win a Super Bowl. Dallas has a pretty good team, and lifting the Lombardy Trophy is within reach. Prescott, however, must prove that he can elevate his performance during the postseason.

I think Prescott is one of the most underrated players at the QB position. He’s not the most elite passer in the NFL, but the Cowboys star is efficient, hard-working, and knows how to run an offense. His main deficiency is how he plays during the postseason.

In his four playoff appearances, Prescott has won just two games. The Cowboys know that they must change the narrative in 2023-24. The roster is loaded with talent, and failing to reach the Super Bowl again won’t cut it.

Prescott would be a great player to feature on Netflix Quarterback Season 2. However, I also think that the team would prefer to focus on winning a title. Would Prescott turn down the offer? There’s a lot at stake this season, and I expect Prescott to limit the distractions.

The Colts selected Anthony Richardson with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. The team chose him to be their franchise QB, so the expectations are pretty high. Richardson could also become the first rookie featured on Netflix Quarterback.

The young QB has yet to play in the NFL, but the hype is real. He’s a physically gifted athlete whose potential is insanely high. The Colts also really like him, and Richardson could take over the starting position in his rookie year.

The main issues with Richardson is that he started only 13 games in college and the gap between the NFL and NCAA Division I football is massive. He’s got a lot of learning and catching up to do.

When betting on Netflix Quarterback Season 2, I would give Richardson a lot of consideration. The guy is super exciting to watch and unusually humble for a rookie. Richardson is also ushering in a new era for the Colts.

You should also consider targeting a few underdogs in this market. You never know which player will be selected and featured on Netflix Quarterback Season 2. Most NFL QBs are viable candidates.

• Brock Purdy (+1000). Purdy is a massive wildcard because it’s unknown if he’ll be the starting QB for San Francisco. His magical rookie season in 2022-23 led the 49ers to the NFC Championship game.
• Joe Burrow (+800). Burrow is one of the most talented players in the NFL who’s also super popular. He’s now on pace to become the best QB in franchise history for the Bengals.
• Bryce Young (+800). Young was the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. That alone is enough of a reason to feature him on Netflix Quarterback Season 2.

Ultimately, I think you must look at every QB in the NFL and put their careers into perspective. The purpose of Netflix Quarterback is to showcase players dealing with different situations. The audience gets to see how they handle everything, so the narratives surrounding the players matter.

I think the only main favorite that will end up on the show is Tagovailoa. He’s in a unique position because of the multiple concussions he suffered last season. His story is compelling, and I think audiences are eager to see what happens next.

My other prediction is that an underdog will make it on the show. Burrow is the quarterback that everyone loves to talk about because of his moxie and football acumen. I think there’s a good chance that he will join Netflix Quarterback Season 2.

The odds for both guys are solid, so backing the two is a reasonable approach. You will still win if one makes it and totally crush it if both are featured.
