Anyone who has visited Australia or has an Australian friend will know that even though they speak English, it does sometimes seem like the country does have a language all their own.
There is an extensive list of vocabulary and sayings that are native to the folks Down Under, and this includes the term “Fair Go.”
Fair Go has several meanings in the Australian slang, but the general definition is that everyone has the right to be treated the same, no matter their background or circumstance – everyone is given a “Fair Go.”
It seems that in the case of online casinos, this is no different, and this Australian-themed casino called Fair Go Casino has been launched to give their players the same VIP treatment.
About Fair Go Casino
Fair Go Casino is the latest release from the Deckmedia Group of casinos. Launched in 2017, Fair Go Casino has several sister casinos, including Red Stag Casino, Miami Club Casino, Spartan Slots Casino and Uptown Aces Casino. The group uses several different software suppliers to offer a different playing experience to their players.
Deckmedia has their casinos licensed in the country of Curacao. This gaming jurisdiction is the most popular amongst companies who are planning to accept U.S. players as Curacao doesn’t restrict their licensees from taking play from Americans. Also, having a license is usually a pre-requisite for many of the software companies and payment processors before they will sign a contract with a new online operator.
Who Can Play at Fair Go Casino
Although Fair Go casino is clearly themed to target players from Australia, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the casino was not restricted to only players from that country. In fact, even though the currency at the tables defaults to Australian Dollars, the casino is more than willing to accept deposits in any currency.
As of June 1, 2017, Fair Go Casino opened their doors to U.S. players; before that date, Americans were able to create accounts but not deposit or play the games in the real money casino. It’s a good sign that they have cleared this up and now Fair Go Casino seems to accept players from all over the world. There is nothing on their website that outlines any restricted countries, so until we hear otherwise, you can assume that you are able to make a deposit at Fair Go unless you reside in the following U.S. states:
- Kentucky
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Missouri
- New Jersey
- New York
- Washington
Software Suppliers
Of the many software partners that Deckmedia had to choose from for their Fair Go offering, they landed on Real Time Gaming. I am pleased to see this; RTG has some of the best software out there for casinos that operate in the “gray market.” The quality of their slots catalog is fantastic, and their development team has always worked hard to ensure that their games are on par or better than their competition.
The RTG games have all been designed to be very mobile friendly; the slots machines and table games I tested for the review of the Fair Go Casino all played quickly and with minimal lag if at all.
This is an area that RTG has spent a lot of focus on over the last two years, and you can see the results of all this effort.
The Good Stuff
Progressive Jackpots
If you are playing at a casino, whether live or online, you are essentially playing the same 15-20 games. One of the things that set some games apart is a jackpot that could make someone a much larger winner than just from the bet of the hand or the spin of the reel.
Fair Go Casino offers its players a whole host of progressive jackpot games in their casino lobby. These jackpot games are clearly labeled and have the running jackpot totals right in the thumbnail of each game. I personally like that I can find the games and the jackpots without much effort; they shouldn’t be hiding them for sure.
There are two different types of jackpots being offered at Fair Go Casino. First, there are jackpot games that only draw on the play from their own casino. You will notice that many of the jackpots are currently very small; this is due to the casino being new and not having that much play to date. The other progressive jackpots, which are much larger, are shared across the RTG network. For a Network Progressive, casinos must agree to be part of the pool, which allows them to have much larger prizes to promote, but does not guarantee one of their players will be the winner. (More on this to follow below…)
A Teaching Casino
One nice feature of the Fair Go casino lobby is that in List View when you click on a game, the basics on how to play that game are highlighted in a box to the right of the screen. While there are many places for you to learn about a new game (including a detailed set of Guides on our site), it’s nice to find that snapshot right in the lobby.
This may be the difference between you trying out a game or only sticking with the games you know.
The Bad Stuff
Missing some RTG Progressives
In conducting the Fair Go Casino review, as I do for all other casinos, I check the network progressive jackpots with other sources to ensure they are up to date. One thing I noticed while auditing the Fair Go slots is that a couple of the larger RTG Network progressive Jackpots were missing. This can be for a couple of reasons; either the casino chose not to contribute to a jackpot that high as the upfront cost was too high to buy in, or RTG won’t let their new licensees have access to a jackpot that many of their casinos have spent years contributing to.
In either case, if you were looking for the seven-figure jackpots that are featured in a couple of RTG games, sadly you will not find them at Fair Go Casino. Have no fear, the Megasaur jackpot is nearing $900,000 at the time of this review, and I think that would still be a pretty nice payoff, no?
The Ugly Stuff
Game Selection
Table Games
The RTG Table Game suite is very robust and features a lot of games that are graphics-rich. Fair Go Casino delivers its players all of the standard casino table games, along with some of the lesser-known games. There is no reason for an online casino to hold back here; with no physical restraints, the casino can have as many tables of different games running as possible.
As with all the RTG casinos I review, I got sidetracked for quite some time playing their Pai Gow Poker game. I can’t place my finger exactly on why I play Pai Gow, but I do know that when I play it at an RTG casino like Fair Go Casino, I am going to find a rapid, very slick game which allowed me to get in lots of hands per hour.
Here are all the games you are able to find in the Fair Go Casino lobby:
- Baccarat
- Casino War
- Caribbean Stud Poker
- Red Dog
- Roulette
- European Blackjack
- Craps
- Let ‘Em Ride
- Pai Gow Poker
- Vegas Three Card Rummy
- Sic Bo
- Pontoon

- Caribbean 21
- Caribbean Hold’em Poker
- Face Up 21
- Match Play 21
- Super 21
- Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus Poker
- Tri Card Poker
Pokies (Slot Machines)
As I mentioned above, while some network progressive games are missing, the Fair Go Casino does host the majority of the RTG catalog of slots games. They offer games in 3 and 5 reel variants, as well as a couple of specialty pokies that offer a unique style of play than the traditional slots. There are also lots of slots at Fair Go that feature bonus games; I know that many players focus more on the bonus games these days than the actual spins of the reels!

Video Poker
Readers of my casino reviews for Legit Gambling Sites will know how much I love Video Poker. I have been known to spend multiple hours in sessions of play in Las Vegas casinos, and have spent time with those who play the game for a living to find out as many tips and tricks as I can to try to gain an edge on the game.
All the RTG casinos have the option of taking as many or as few variants of Video Poker for their casino; Fair Go Casino has chosen to take them all, which is music to my ears. RTG has always had an excellent stable of Video Poker games, and you can find all these titles in the Fair Go Casino lobby:
- Aces & Eights
- Double Jackpot
- All American
- Jacks or Better
- Bonus Deuces Wild
- Double Bonus
- Double Double Jackpot
- Sevens Wild

Specialty Games
There aren’t too many Specialty games available at Fair Go Casino; this isn’t RTG’s focus, and if I am being honest, I am totally fine with that. I would much rather have their developers working on more slots and table game variants than any extra scratch games, etc.
Here are the specialty games offered at Fair Go Casino:
- Scratch Cards
- Bingo
- Keno
Promotions
One area where having the experience of a series of other partner brands can help a casino is in marketing. Having run casinos for many years, the Deckmedia group likely have a lot of data to justify which promotions work and which don’t work for individual players and markets. You can see that they have applied this experience to the promotions at Fair Go Casino.
Free Chip Promotion
There is a Free Chip promotion available, but it isn’t listed on their site. When you create an account, you will receive an email with a unique code to enter to receive this $5 Free Chip. Of course, this free play comes with a whole host of restrictions, but I like using free chips to test out the games I like to play, and this case was no different.
Welcome Bonus
Fair Go Casino has a Welcome offer that will give all of its players a…well, it will give them all a fair go. The Welcome Deposit bonus is split over your first 5 deposits at the casino. Each of these deposits qualifies for a 100% bonus up to $200. I like these types of bonuses as they not only reward players who make smaller deposits but also they don’t discard you after you make your first deposit; you are considered a new player for four more deposits.
Ongoing Promotions
There are a series of different ongoing promotions at Fair Go Casino. Some of these promotions are good for one day of the week, such as Fair Fridays, and others are mobile-only bonuses, which are unlocked when the casino recognizes that you are playing from a mobile device.
Fair Go Casino also has a cashback promotion that entitles players to 25% Instant Cashback on their last deposit. To receive this bonus, you must have played your balance down to a maximum of $1, and you need to contact their support team to request the cashback. Once the agent confirms the information, you will see the rebate in your balance so you can go right back and give the games another shot.
The promotions are always changing at Fair Go Casino (which is a good thing), so to see the latest offers, you should go check out their Promotions page.
Banking
Banking options at Fair Go Casino are pretty straight forward. Minimum deposits are $20 and all the deposits, no matter what currency, will be converted and listed in Australian Dollars in your balance and also when playing at the tables.
I haven’t noticed many payment issues at all with the Deckmedia casinos I have reviewed in the past, so I am hopeful this trend will continue with the withdrawals made by Fair Go Casino players.

Comp Program
It wasn’t easy to find, but there is a comp program available at Fair Go Casino. The terms are pretty straightforward – you can earn one point for every $10 wagered. Points have a value of 1 cent and can be redeemed in increments of 100. It is always my recommendation that players redeem the points as soon as you reach the minimum number needed to cash them in; there is no sense leaving them sitting in your account.
VIP Program
At the time of writing this review, there does not seem to be a VIP program at Fair Go Casino.
Now, there could very well be a program that the casino offers and manages behind the scenes based on your play, but as for an outline of what the benefits are of loyalty, there is nothing on their website.
Customer Service
The Deckmedia Group of casinos have had good reviews when it comes to their Customer Service; I have never had any issues when trying to access them if I wanted a question answered. When it comes to Fair Go Casino, you can access their Customer Service team via email, live chat and by telephone.
However, if you aren’t residing in Australia, you will need to dial an international line to reach the casino (ugh) so I would recommend you use the Live Chat option for a zero-cost, real-time discussion with their Customer Service agents.
Would I Play at Fair Go Casino?
Seeing all the references to Australia brings back a lot of great memories of my trips to that country in my youth; that alone would drive me to want to play at Fair Go Casino. Having said that, I appreciate the backing of the Deckmedia Group, and I am a big fan of the Real Time Gaming casino platform. While I am not thrilled to see that some of the largest RTG progressives are missing, I totally understand why they might be, and that isn’t stopping me from taking some of my money right to the Fair Go tables. I would recommend you give these folks a try and hopefully, you will get the “fair go” that they claim to be offering.
