My Bookie Review Contents
My Experience at MyBookie
I’m happy to bring you this MyBookie review based on my experience of over 10 hours at this popular site. That’s right: I played the games in the casino, made bets in the sportsbook, and went through everything from the signup process, through contacting customer service, to paying and getting paid.
MyBookie is known for its sportsbook and casino jackpots, and I definitely found those to be positives. I also found some minor flaws when it comes to their withdrawal times and options, and also with their bonus requirements (although the variety of bonuses helped to compensate.)
Overall, I enjoyed the experience and I think many of you will too. Check out why by reading my extensive MyBookie review!
MyBookie Pros & Cons
PROS
- Creative Props for Big US Sporting Events
- Excellent Variety of Live Casino Games
- Cash Out in the Sportsbook
- Easily Found Cash Drops and Other Jackpots
- Horse Racing Rebate
Cons
- Slow Payout Speed
- Limited Withdrawal Options
- Tough Welcome Bonus Requirements
- Unclear VIP System
I cover all these pros and cons in the appropriate sections, but if you want to learn more about any of them right now, use the dropdowns below.
MyBookie is known for finding new prop markets for the top events in the United States, like the Super Bowl, March Madness, or the World Series. For example, ahead of the 2023 Super Bowl, MyBookie included props on what color the Gatorade would be that was dumped over the winning coach’s head and whether halftime performer Rihanna would be wearing glasses.
That kind of creativity even makes its way into regular season action for top US leagues like the NFL or MLB. You can literally find hundreds of props for each game.
Many live casinos stop after the standard roulette, blackjack, and baccarat offerings. MyBookie goes way beyond that to include games such as Wheel Bet, Poker Bet, and War of Elements. This variety means that your live dealer action never has to get stale.
This tool allows each user to either lock in wins or minimize losses. It gives you more control and allows you to lessen the volatility of your sports bets. MyBookie offers you to close your bet before the event is finished and the return depends on how it has been developing.
Too many other sites hide away their jackpot games and make you go searching blindly for them. Instead, MyBookie features drop downs in their casino menu that take you directly to their Cash Drop casino promotions and their jackpot games. That’s a nice feature that will allow you to spend more time playing instead of searching.
MyBookie delivers a valuable promotion for horse racing fans, with an 8% rebate that includes no rollover. As someone who likes gambling on horses, this is really appreciated.
Don’t expect to get paid by MyBookie too quickly. Even with Bitcoin payouts, you’re looking at around three days before you can expect to see that money back in your account. Most other top sites cut that down by at least a day.
MyBookie gets points for allowing 10 different cryptocurrency coins and potential deposit options. Unfortunately, the only one you can use for withdrawals is Bitcoin. In fact, BTC and bank wires are your only two withdrawal choices, as opposed to most other top sites that give you a few more choices.
MyBookie is a bit on the high side when it comes to the rollover amounts attached to their casino welcome package. In addition, the deposit minimums are high on both sports and casino welcome bonuses. However, this also leads to a positive: the fact that the site offers alternative welcome options where the requirements are much easier to handle (even if the bonuses are smaller.)
Unlike most other sites, MyBookie doesn’t specify how you earn VIP points or specify any levels you can reach. They simply state that the program is by invite only. For those looking to earn more cash back or free play based on how much they play, it can be a frustrating situation.
MyBookie Bonuses and Promotions
MyBookie offers a variety of bonuses and promotions to try and entice you to play and bet at their site. I evaluate them all in this section, starting with their sportsbook welcome bonus:
MyBookie Sports Bonus
Criteria | BetOnline | Industry Average | Industry Best |
---|---|---|---|
Match % | 50% | 100% | 150% (BetNow) |
Min Deposit | $50 | $25 | $10 (BetNow) |
Max Bonus | $1,000 | $1,000 | $2,500 (BetUS) |
Wagering Requirements | 10x | 10x | 5x (Bovada) |
As you can see, the minimum to get this bonus is a little bit higher than what you can get at other sites, but the wagering requirements are reasonable. On top of that, MyBookie does sweeten the deal a bit with a $10 casino chip that’s tacked on to the bonus.
Let’s move on to the casino bonus:
MyBookie Casino Bonus
Criteria | BetOnline | Industry Average | Industry Best |
---|---|---|---|
Match % | 150% | 200% | 500% (DuckyLuck) |
Min Deposit | $45 | $25 | $10 (BetNow) |
Max Bonus | $750 | $2,500 | $10,000 (LasVegas USA) |
Wagering Requirements | 40x | 35x | 25x (Bovada) |
In this case, both the minimum deposit and the rollover are a bit higher. It’s also a little bit of a downer that the percentage and the max bonus don’t quite measure up to the industry average. The good news is that MyBookie offers a variety of bonuses that they add on top of the welcomes.
The site often adds temporary bonuses here and there to their menu, so be on the lookout for those. There are also bonuses and promotions that you can access at any time. Let’s explore them next!
If you’re worried about the higher rollover attached to the normal welcome bonus at MyBookie, this is a nice alternative. You only get 10% up to $200, but the rollover is just 1x. Even casual sports bettors will easily meet the requirements The minimum deposit is still at $45 and the offer is only available for your first deposit.
These are tiered reload bonuses, which means that the less you deposit, the smaller the bonus and rollover. For example, a deposit of $100 to $149 gets you 10% up to $22.50 and a 6x rollover. You can choose higher bonuses, with the max being 50% up to $1,250 and a 10x rollover with deposits from $2,000 to $2,500. Rollovers also vary depending on what tier you choose. I like the flexibility that this affords you, as you can choose the level based on how much you think you’ll be betting.
You can claim this bonus once a week at MyBookie. The minimum deposit is $100, and you’ll get 100% up to $1,000 when you reload your account. The rollover stands at 40x. While the minimums and rollovers are a tad high, a lot of sites don’t have any kind of casino bonus available for existing players. If you play frequently enough to meet the requirements, this is a great way to keep beefing up your account.
I mentioned above what a real perk this is, especially since horse racing betting is so different from betting on other sports and should be treated as such. 8% is a nice rebate to have, and there’s no rollover attached to it. The best part is that you don’t have to do anything to receive it other than bet in the MyBookie racebook. Any rebate is automatically added back to your account.
Depending on what time of the week you’re playing, you can look for casino bonuses that are offered to existing players at MyBookie. These include 10% rebates on Mondays, 50 free spins on Wednesday with a deposit of at least $50, and a 200% bonus on deposits of at least $100 that are made on the weekends. A lot of sites fall into the trap of not rewarding their existing players enough, but these promotions prove that MyBookie is more than generous.
I mentioned Cash Drops above, which are attached to ten specific slot games in the MyBookie casino, including Wilds of Fortune, Stampede, and Take Olympus. As long as you’re playing one of the qualifying games, you can randomly trigger a Cash Wheel with various prizes on it.
You can win up to $12,500 if you’re fortunate enough to access the wheel and get a lucky spin as well. This is a perk that costs you nothing other than playing one of these games, which makes the promo excellent.
Every week, there are tournaments at MyBookie devoted to blackjack (both Cash and Crazy Payouts), roulette, and slots. Each tournament carries a purse of $5,000 and top winnings of $1,500. You have nothing to lose, but you can win some serious scratch courtesy of these tournaments.
MyBookie is a bit cryptic when it comes to their VIP program. When I found the loyalty page on the website, it was empty. When you access the VIP page, all it basically says is that it’s by invite only and MyBookie determines what the criteria are for each tier of bonus.
There’s no points system whereby you know what you’re gunning for in terms of how much you need to play. Your best bet is just to play or bet what you would and hope that you qualify somewhere down the road. I wish they would at least make clear the milestones you need to reach and what rewards you can expect once you get there.
MyBookie Sports Betting
The name of the site suggests a kind of personal touch that you might not expect from online sportsbooks. MyBookie delivers on that promise with their sportsbook options. They stand out when it comes to the props markets that they offer. That includes specials on both the biggest events and routine action from popular US sports like football and baseball.
You shouldn’t expect that same kind of coverage from MyBookie when it comes to sports that are more popular outside the US. While about 35 sports or so are included in their regular menu, many of those sports won’t get more than a few markets, and only then perhaps in the biggest events. MyBookie isn’t available in a lot of countries outside the US, so it’s understandable that they place their focus on American sports.
MyBookie also comes through with special features like odds boosters, prop bet builders, and football betting squares that sports bettors love. The standard odds for popular markets like moneyline and spread betting in the NFL are usually -110/-110 (5% margin), while the edge is a bit higher for props and other special wagers. e. I found this to be a solid sportsbook, especially for US Sports, and that extends to the features below.
Have you ever bet on a team that jumps out to a big lead, and then you spend the rest of the game watching with one eye because you’re afraid it’s all going to fall apart? With the Cash Out feature at MyBookie, you don’t have to worry about that.
It provides more control because you can close your wager early, securing most of the profit if you’re ahead or cutting your losses when it’s not going so well.
These provide similar value to the free tournaments offered on the casino side. The only difference is that there are entry fees attached to these sports contests. Some sites, such as BetOnline, allow you to enter into sports betting contests for free, but their prizes aren’t as big as the ones offered by MyBookie.
These contests are timed to whatever sport is in season. When I looked, there were NFL Survivor and Super Contests available at MyBookie, with buy-ins ranging from $10 to $20 and prize pools ranging from $10,000 to $250,000 (or 1 Bitcoin.) I love testing my wits against other bettors, and these contests gave me the chance to do that.
This is an area where MyBookie’s focus on the US hurts them just a bit. Other sports betting sites such as Bovada and BetOnline include markets for international elections and other political questions. MyBookie is focused entirely on the US, with the exception of one market that I found in the “Special Wagers” section devoted to the UK.
MyBookie occasionally includes “special” political markets, although I didn’t find any when I looked. The focus was entirely on the US Presidential election when I checked. On the whole, the political coverage at MyBookie is a bit lacking.
This is another area where MyBookie didn’t go much further than surface level with their coverage. There were only three esports included when I looked. You could place wagers on Counter Strike 2, Dota 2, and StarCraft 2. That’s not exactly an overwhelming selection, certainly less than at other top sites.
I was surprised I didn’t see sports-themed esports in the mix. At least the site did include some props in addition to the standard moneyline, spread, and totals wagers for the esports they did offer, and live betting was also available.
Still, esports fanatics might want to choose another site that prioritizes these games, such as Thunderpick.
MyBookie seems to save all its unique props and markets for sports betting. There wasn’t anything too special in the entertainment section when I checked. Lines for early betting on the Academy Awards and Emmy Awards were on the menu.
These are pretty much the bare minimum when it comes to entertainment betting. There weren’t any lines devoted to the exploits of individual celebrities or anything based on reality television. Such markets are commonplace at other top gambling sites, so MyBookie isn’t ideal for pop culture wagers.
MyBookie Casino
- Number of Casino Games: 300 +
- Software Developers: BetSoft, Nucleus, BGaming, Dragon Gaming
- Live Dealer Games: Yes
- Demo Mode: Yes
I didn’t expect much from MyBookie’s casino because the sportsbook has a better reputation. The good news is that I found that the casino experience was above average on the whole. You will find a respectable but below average number of games (300+). Still, there is a lot of variety within that range.
Even if the selection is limited, the games that MyBookie does possess are solid. They partner with top software providers like BetSoft and Nucleus, so there’s enough quality and variety there.
I also mentioned some of the perks of the casino in the bonuses section above. They include the free tournaments and the Cash Drops promotion. Another perk is that you can find everything with ease, as the main menu provides quick access to all categories and is structured well.
I even liked that MyBookie had a seasonal tab called “Spooky Szn,” which was perfect for the season of the year I was checking. There were nice touches like that all over the place in the MyBookie casino. Check out what to expect from some of the main categories of games.
I really like MyBookie's slots menu because it’s easy to find whatever you're looking for, including the jackpots, Cash Drops, and free tournaments .One slight drawback is that there’s not a search function to find slot games by title or software provider. You can find information on RTP and minimum/maximum bets once you click on each game.
Overall, there are over 200 games from software providers like Nucleus, Dragon, and BGaming available on the site. You can play games that range from 1 cent to $5 per line, although keep in mind that the size of your bet can go much higher than $5 when you factor in all the paylines. For example, I played Take the Bank, one of the jackpot games available, and it has 75 paylines available.
No, I didn’t win a jackpot and lost money overall, but I was pleased with the MyBookie slots setup anyway.
44 RNG-fueled Blackjack games at MyBookie is one of the largest numbers of this category in the online casino world. Limits at these tables generally range from about $1 to $500 per bet. In some cases, there was a bit of redundancy, with games like Single Deck Blackjack available from multiple software providers on the site.
Even accounting for that, MyBookie delivered excellent blackjack variety. If you want to branch out, games like Perfect Pairs and Super 7 are available for you. I stuck with the basic American blackjack format and went on a nice run for a tidy profit. MyBookie’s blackjack department is definitely one I would visit again.
When you just look at the number of table games (around 90) that MyBookie offers, you might think that you’re dealing with a crazy level of variety. In reality, you’re looking at mostly different versions of three different games: roulette, poker, and baccarat (with roulette dominating overall.) Keep in mind that the poker here is against-the-house action like Pai Gow and Caribbean, rather than tournaments or cash games where you can play against other players.
Still, there are a few choices off the beaten path, such as Casino War, Solitaire, and Craps. I tried out Casino Solitaire and enjoyed myself (even if I didn’t win anything.) If you like games such as these, MyBookie has you covered.
MyBookie offers 16 variants on video poker. Again, there is some repetition of titles here. One piece of advice: Check out the pay tables and the info on each game to make sure you’re getting the lowest possible house edge. For example, you should look for Jacks or Better options where you’re getting 9 to 1 on a flush and 6 to 1 on a full house.
I like playing multi-hand video poker, which is why I was glad that MyBookie offered four of those games. I even found a video poker variant I hadn’t tried before, known as Fancy Poker 5, which added a slot machine element of three different paylines.
Video poker fans will certainly enjoy MyBookie’s selection.
The title of this section is a bit confusing. Most other sites call the games included here “Specialty” games. By calling them Social Games, MyBookie might give you the impression they’re free or involve other people somehow. They’re not and they don’t, although most of them allow you to play for as little as a penny per round (such as Plinko, which I tried because of my childhood love of The Price is Right.)
MyBookie has about 80 of these games, which is a high number compared to other sites. You’ll probably recognize some of them (like Keno), but some will be new to you (like The Last Quack or Save the Hamster.) I’m not a huge fan of these games, but you’re in for a good time if you do and you sign up at MyBookie.
The live casino at MyBookie went beyond blackjack, baccarat, and roulette to offer an interesting mix of lotto, keno, and specialty games. I liked the fact that there were early payout and bet behind features among the blackjack live offerings.
Live betting limits ranged from anywhere from 50 cents for some roulette games to $10,000 a hand for high-stakes blackjack. MyBookie does a nice job if you like the idea of interacting with real dealers while you play.
MyBookie App
I tested MyBookie on my mobile device as well as on my laptop. After all, I know how many people like to play casino games and bet on sports via their smartphones and tablets. Here’s what I found out.
MyBookie Casino App
MyBookie doesn’t require you to download anything to play casino games on mobile. You just have to visit the site in your device’s browser. Everything that’s on the main site will pop up on your phone, albeit formatted differently for the smaller screen size.
For example, each row of casino games in the menus contains just two games (instead of four as is the case on a computer), so it might mean more scrolling to find what you want. Other than that, the site is configured in much the same way, with all the same shortcuts (Cash Drops, Tournaments, Jackpot Games) available to you. The games were responsive to the touchscreen format as well. I had no issues with the MyBookie mobile casino.
MyBookie Betting App
As is the case with the casino app, MyBookie’s sports betting app is simply a mobile version of their site. It also contains everything you can find on the main site. That includes all the markets, live betting options, contests, etc.
Live betting was easily accessed as well from the site. You should be able to make your sports bets at MyBookie wherever you are with ease.
MyBookie Payments
Here’s what payment options are available at MyBookie and details about each.
Banking Method | Min/Max Deposit | Min/Max Payout | Fastest/Average Payout Time |
---|---|---|---|
Visa | $45/$2,000 | No Payout | - |
MasterCard | $45/$2,000 | No Payout | - |
Bitcoin | $20/No max | $25/$5,000 | 2 days/3 days |
Bitcoin Cash | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Ethereum | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Litecoin | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Tether | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Solana | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Dogecoin | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Cardano | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Shiba Inu | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Binance Coin | $20/No max | No Payout | - |
Person2Person | $100/$500 | No Payout | - |
Bank Wire | No deposit | $100/$500 | 7 days/9 days |
I like the fact that MyBookie allows you to deposit with such a wide range of cryptocurrency coins. Many people like to go beyond Bitcoin, so this is an ideal spot for you if you do, at least when it comes to deposits. Unfortunately, they don’t let you withdraw using any coin other than Bitcoin, so you’ll need access to BTC if you want to get paid.
It’s also a bummer that it takes them two days to process payments. Most betting sites are faster than that, processing Bitcoin payouts within a working day.
Bank wire is the only other option for withdrawal. Many sites let you be paid by check as well. At least the $15 fee for bank wire payments isn’t too problematic. If you use Bitcoin, you won’t have to deal with any fees for deposit or withdrawal.
One other positive from the banking practices of MyBookie is that there’s no maximum deposit amount when you use cryptocurrency. You can also withdraw a total of $10,000 per week. MyBookie could introduce more payout options and speed up crypto withdrawals, but there’s nothing too damaging here that would cause me to turn away from the site.
Is MyBookie Legit?
MyBookie is a legit site based on my research because it’s licensed, uses TLS encryptions, and has an excellent reputation. If you want more details, the following table can deliver.
Gambling License | TLS | Additional Testing | Other Security Measures |
---|---|---|---|
Curaçao | 1.3, X25519, and AES_128_GCM | No | Responsible Gambling Practices, Know Your Customer Requirements |
MyBookie holds a gambling license from Curaçao, which is a popular destination for US gambling sites. They’ve also been around for almost a decade. If there were any kind of major scandals or injustices to players taking place, they most likely would have been found out by now.
MyBookie does look out for the customer with its responsible gaming and KYC (know your customer) efforts. That might seem like a hassle, but it’s actually the sign of a responsible site. (More on that when we talk about the process below.)
The site also features the proper safety protocols (256-bit TLS encryption) to ensure that you won’t have your information hacked. However, they don’t do any extra testing of its RNG games, although they do use providers who have a good reputation in the industry.
It would also be nice if they farmed disputes out to some third-party organization that can take a neutral view of such matters. These are areas for improvement, for sure, but you shouldn’t have any doubt about MyBookie’s legitimacy.
MyBookie Customer Service
This is another area of a gambling site that you should never overlook, because you never know when you’re going to need help. MyBookie includes a lot of excellent information in its Help section on the site that will likely answer a lot of your questions. I also reached out to their customer service department with the questions below to see how they would respond:
- What happens if you request a payout before clearing a bonus?
- What happens if you have placed a bet in the live dealer casino and you’re disconnected?
- Can I get a custom wager on the NFL?
- Are there any sports betting contests you can answer for free?
Here’s what my research uncovered:
Channel | Response Time | Helpfulness | Availability | Languages |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chat | 1 minute | 4 | 24/7 | English |
Email/Website Form | 4 hours | 4 | 24/7 | English |
I was thrilled by the quickness with which I received a response from the MyBookie chat feature. The answers to the questions came rapidly and were clear and decisive. It took a little back and forth to get the answer about the custom wager, but otherwise it was smooth sailing.
As for their email support, MyBookie came through with a quick response, faster than what I found at other sites. Their answers were solid and fell into line with the chat response.
I wish they had a phone option for customer service, but I realize that there aren’t many sites that do these days. In general, I was pleased with the customer service efforts of MyBookie.
How to Join MyBookie and Start Gambling for Real Money
We’re getting near the end of my MyBookie review, and I’m guessing many of you might be wondering how to get started. Let’s walk through the process of signing up, depositing, withdrawing, and verifying your account.
How to Sign Up for MyBookie
First things, first: Let’s talk about signing up for a MyBookie account.
Step 1: Visit the MyBookie site.
Step 2: Click the “Join Now” icon at the top right.
Step 3: Answer the questions on the page and pick a secure password.
That seems easy enough, right? Now on to payments.
How to Deposit at MyBookie
Before you can start playing and winning, you’ll have to provide your financial information. Here is how that works.
Step 1: Find the “Cashier” link near the top of the main MyBookie page and click on it.
Step 2: Request a verification code. The site wants to make sure it’s you, so you need to type in the code that they’ll send to the phone number you gave them when you signed up.
Step 3: Choose a method of deposit and how much you want to put into your account. (I picked a MasterCard in the example in the screen shot, but there are dropdowns available for all the methods that MyBookie allows.) This is also the point where you can choose your welcome bonus.
That’s all you’ll need to do. It’s an easy enough process, even if you’re new to it.
How to Withdraw from MyBookie
This requires just a few steps as well.
Step 1: Go to the “payout” section within the cashier dropdown menu.
Step 2: Decide on whether you want to be paid via Bitcoin or Bank Wire.
Step 3: Enter the amount.
Step 4: Click “Withdraw”
Step 5: As with the deposit, verify with the code MyBookie sends to your phone.
If you’re withdrawing with Bitcoin, you’ll have to copy and paste your Bitcoin address into the provided space. From there, it’s just a matter of waiting for MyBookie to process your payment.
How to Verify My MyBookie Account
MyBookie does require account verification for you to make payments and get paid. I already explained that you’ll be asked to type in verification codes at different steps during the process. Before you get paid the first time, you’ll also have to provide certain documents to verify your identity.
The two documents you’ll need to provide:
- A photo of your bank statement (no more than a week old)
- A photo of a valid ID
Once you have these docs ready, follow this procedure, taken directly from the MyBookie website:
You can do this at any time after signing up. I’d suggest you do it as soon as possible, because it can take up to three days for MyBookie to verify. If you wait until you want to get paid, it might hold up the process.
Final Verdict – Is MyBookie a Good Gambling Site?
I was very pleased with my overall experience at MyBookie, so the answer is a resounding yes. In terms of sportsbooks aimed at American audiences, they are among the better options online. In addition, the casino comes through with some solid game play and cool perks to keep things interesting.
As I’ve mentioned, the banking and the bonuses could both use a bit of sprucing up to make them a bit more player-friendly. That said, there’s nothing that’s too problematic about those processes that make this site unusable. In fact, I’d highly recommend MyBookie, especially if you live in the US and want to combine your sports betting and online casino action into one handy account.
